a 1981 pocket sized paperback
Perfectly plump, yellow page edges, worn but good condition. An ideal little book, book aesthetically speaking.
A novel about a fugitive activist, multiple identities, safe houses, gunpoint robberies and apparently a romance too (I know, who would have thought!)-- but really, sarcasm aside, I can't wait to read this. Right up my alley.
Personally, I'd read it outside somewhere, my fire escape, with multiple mugs of tea in early spring when its really too cold to sit and read outside but you're well bundled. Oh or maybe curbside, like my buddy at the local wine store who lets me know when my favorite is back in stock as I make her coffee--she sits out on the curb on unseasonably warm days with a fat paperback and seeing that makes the world feel right. Aside from the climate.
