I've been searching for an aesthetically pleasing english edition of this ever since I read Rivka Galchen's Little Labors years ago. And I finally found this one almost by accident at one of my randomest sources for used books! 

Not only is this a snarky and often hilarious diary written by a Japanese woman, it is also one of the most factual accounts of everyday life in 11th century Japan we have available to us!

This addition includes maps, diagrams and an appendix of illustrations as well.
