This book was my first introduction to Laurie Colwin (thanks to my bookish friend Briana!)--and she's SO SO good!! I laughed so much and the first three words of the book are literally: "My husband died..."

read if you like: studio apartments in Greenwich Village just after WWII, irreverent humor, romance, it girls (and those of us who aren't), AND the more philosophical questions of romantic "types", etc, etc.
