This is perhaps the best introduction and summary of Adrienne Rich's poetry--I was thinking about how to communicate how good it is then I realized she says it all perfectly in her forward. So I've included that over in the photos.

note: my scanner really emphasizes the wear on the front cover but it's not as worn looking in real life. But it is a book from 1974 and someone painstakingly cut up strips of magazine or newspaper to mark every poem they loved. And that turns out to be a lot. I wish they'd left a name because I'd have liked them for sure.
