I can testify that this is enjoyed by both child and adult very very much. I particularly appreciate that it's main character is 72 years old and it doesn't bow to the overwrought child genius theme, but rather she discovers her artistic talent in her old age and thoroughly enjoys it for the pleasure of painting alone.
